Good Food Good Mood

This place has got to be the place we reviewed the MOST in our blog… but you see, you can never get sick of quality food. And so we are back again!
If this is this the first time you are hearing me say this, GET. THEIR. UNAGI. I love it, he loves it, we all love it. Just to get it!
We decided to try a few new dishes. Didn’t disappoint I must say. I tried the cold Soba which was one of the cheapest items in their menu. He tried his favourite curry rice and it was great too. OH and their scallop soup! It was slightly peppery and just the way I like it. It is something I would recommend if you are feeling cold and would like something warm and soupy!
Enjoyed our dining experience thoroughly and will be here again without a doubt.

Back at Coconut Club!
Good news is, their nasi lemak is still as lemak and sedap as ever. The more unfortunate news is that they stopped giving out free rice refills. Time to say bye to the days when I can eat 4 refills…
This time round, apart from the nasi lemak, we decided to venture into their dessert selection. We both agreed that the chendol is good as ever. I chose the Nyonya Kueh Platter and it was decent too! Delicately made, feels very dainty and sweet.

If cheesy beef burger is your thing, you have to try this. I found out that recently, I’ve became a pickier eater. Of course I still eat almost everything and enjoy them thoroughly, but I am starting to taste the difference between the same dishes. Beef/steak dishes happens to be one of them. I suspect it is because my partner has been experimenting around and cooking using beef of premium quality (For example, we accidentally bought one whole slab of A4 Wagyu the other day) and that has definitely put me on a hedonistic treadmill for my beef dishes.
Anyway, I am here to talk about Meat Smith and yes, it did not disappoint me. I was pretty impressed! It was juicy, burst of flavour and you can actually taste the meat. What I liked the most was really how juicy it was. I joke and say that one day if I am feeling down casted, you can probably find me gobbling down cheese burgers here.
However, I think one of the downside would be that it is not that cheap. By cheap, I am referring to burgers under $10. With discount it was roughly 10+ (Burger alone without any side). Without the discount I am expecting it to be slightly more expensive although I am not sure how much it is. We decided to pair our burger along with Mac and Cheese! Unfortunately, Mac and Cheese is also another food that I am quite particular about so while it was delicious, it did not give me the “wow” kind of satisfaction.
Overall Verdict: It is good and I will definitely go again! Next time round, I might even try their meat platters.

Yes, the third time (At least) that we’ve been there. Wild Honey remains as one of our favourite for brunch food even though we have it as dinner. Portion is generous, great ambience, great service, and we always feel chill there. All is great! Only two photos this time because we chose the same dish. Guess our palette is syncing!
